Robbin te Velde is a principle researcher at Dialogic Innovation & Interaction, a research consultancy based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He has over 16 years of experience in R&D&I policy studies, with a strong focus on ICT and information economics. He has a strong methodological background in both qualitative and quantitative social research with a particular focus on international comparative studies (covering Europe, North-America, Asia and the Middle-East).

He has been alternately working at technical universities (University of Twente, Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology) and research consultancies (Rand Corporation, Zenc, Perquirimus, Dialogic).

Major IT-related research theme include information economics, telecom regulation, broadband networks, ICT in health care, ICT-driven innovations in the public sector, and exploitation of public sector information. He has also designed and implemented IT-systems for several multinationals (including BT and KPN).

Before joining Dialogic (in 2006) he has run a global network of independent ICT researchers covering over 20 countries and four continents.
